We visited Vishala Restaurant after almost a decade, and we were pleasantly delighted!! The new owners/ management have taken over. Very efficient, very hospitable and very hard working crew of "Chandrika, Nisha and Riya" were running the show!! Riya was at the front desk and also attending all the tables very efficiently. She welcomed us very nicely! And as we browsed the menu, we noticed that it was a very good menu with great selection of items! The simplicity of the menu also meant that there will be better attention to each item. We decided to try the Gujrati Kathiwadi Thali and a Punjabi Thali. It was very homemade taste. Each dish in the Thali was amazing!! The buttermilk was refreshing! The Bajre ki roti was delicious in Kathiawadi Thali. Gulab jamun was delicious! Overall the food quality was really good. Very homemade quality! Above all, the warm hospitality and hard work of these ladies is most commendable! Well done!! The Ambiance is beautiful! The restrooms are very clean!! It was a great experience! We wish that there was a Vishala restaurant in Austin! I'm thinking of their food and missing it! We will definitely return to enjoy a meal or two when we visit Houston again! This is really good Gujrati food! Enjoy!! Ria & Tony

Definitely a must-visit! Tried the Kathiyawadi Thali and the Vishala Thali. What impressed me most was that none of the vegetables were repeated - each thali was thoughtfully designed to complement the Rotla and Roti. Both came with Gulab Jamun, Chaas, and Khaman. All the vegetables were delicious with a true homemade taste. The ambiance felt very homely, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean, including well-maintained and hygienic restrooms, which is always a big plus. Great quality food at an affordable price with generous portions. Ample parking and spacious seating. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
